The Asteroid Belt is located between the inner and outer planets in our solar system.
Asteroids are large chunks of rock that were left over when our solar system formed.
Thousands of these large chunks of rock have been discovered and they are discovering thousands more each year. Most orbit the Sun in a broad region known as the asteroid belt. The asteroid belt is located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
Read about the asteroid called Eros and learn how asteroids get their names.
Visit the Smithsonian and learn all about asteroids.
On the Google Apps site you created for journaling in this course, please tell me what you now know about the Asteroid Belt.
